Don't Greet a WAC

After being spoiled, Washington socialite Jo McBain decides to join the WACs in order to be closer to her boyfriend, Colonel Fairchild. She is certain that her influential father will use his connections to secure her a comfortable position in the officer's corps. However, her father has other plans and leaves Jo to face the challenges of basic training on her own, much to her horror.

Things take a turn for the worse when Jo's ex-husband Andrew shows up on the base. He is now in charge of a secret testing unit and is determined to win Jo back. To make matters more difficult, Jo is assigned to Andrew's test group, where he makes it his mission to sabotage any chance of romance between Jo and the Colonel.

Rosalind Russell, a former fashion model, made a successful transition to Broadway and then Hollywood. She is most famous for her role in the Howard Hawks screwball comedy classic "His Girl Friday" (1940) and her portrayal of the title character in 1958's "Auntie Mame." Throughout her illustrious career, she won an Oscar and five Golden Globe Awards.
